Here are a few pictures of our trip to Benin. We went there to pick up Trudi's stuff and to say 'Good bye' and to celebrate our wedding with the church in Cobly.

wedding ceremony Our "wedding ceremony" in Cobly was attended by about 100 people, including the 'Sous Prefet' (government official), the mayor, the catholic priest, several protestant pastors, some missionaries, and a lot of friends.

wedding video We showed the video of our wedding in the States. Trudi had to explain a lot of it, and they wanted to see every single minute of it.

meal After the church 'ceremony' we had a big meal. The ladies of the church had prepared mountains of food: spaghetti, rice, millet-'pate', and three different kinds of meat.

guests Everyone was invited and the most honored guests sat in this room and were served first.

Pleis The most important people of the day.

with friends After it was all over everybody wanted to have their picture taken with us.

Our second reason for going to Cobly/Benin was to pick up Trudi's stuff stored in Tanguieta. Everything arrived safely in Toussiana by now.
